We, Friedr. Serong GmbH & Co. KG, thank you very much for your interest in our company. As manufacturer and/or service provider for packaging materials, we take the security aspect, also with respect to your personal data, very serious and focus targetedly on the provisions of data protection law.
Personal data
In accordance with the definition of both the Federal German Data Protection Act (BDSG) as well as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), personal data are information regarding the personal circumstances or factual affairs of a specific or specifiable natural person. This includes, for example, their geographic address, their account number, their e-mail address, as well as their IP address.
With the following privacy policy, we would like to represent our activities and/or approaches for the protection of your privacy in this regard.
Employees, service providers
Our employees as well as the service providers we contract are obligated by us to confidentiality and compliance with the provisions of the BSDG as well as other relevant data protection provisions.
Use and passing-on of personal data
Personal data are collected, processed and stored only for correspondence with you and for the purposes for which you made the data available to us. You may object to this data use at any time through a suitable message, e.g. via e-mail to datenschutz@serong.de.
If necessary, we will pass information on to business partners (service providers) or to third parties in the context of cooperation. This may be necessary to be able to provide a requested service to you, such as the realisation of analysis or service activities.
When passing on personal data to third parties, we limit ourselves to that information which is necessary for the fulfilment of the respective order and/or service. The third party service provider may use these personal data exclusively for the provision of the requested service. In this, we obligate the business partners to comply with the data protection laws. We assure you that we do not pass-on personal data to third parties for third party marketing purposes, sell them, or make them available in another way.
Job application data
Your personal data that you provided to us in the context of your job application will be collected, processed and stored for correspondence with you and used exclusively in the context of our personnel selection process. You may withdraw your approval to the storage of your data at any time via an e-mail to datenschutz@serong.de with a corresponding note.
Processing on the website
When you access our website, information of a general nature is being captured automatically. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of the web browser, the operating system utilised, the domain name of your internet service provider, and similar information. This is exclusively information that does not allow for inferences about your person. This information is technically necessary to correctly deliver the content of the web pages you requested and occurs compulsorily upon using the Internet. We statistically analyse anonymous information of this nature to optimise our Internet presence and the technology behind it.
Cookies
Like a lot of other websites, we also use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files that a website server transmits to your hard drive. This way, we automatically receive certain data, such as IP address, browser utilised, operating system, about your computer and your connection to the Internet. Cookies cannot be utilised to start programs or to transmit viruses to a computer. Based on the information contained in the cookies, we can make your navigation easier and provide for the correct displaying of our web pages. Any and all cookies on our website contain purely technical information in pseudo-anonymized or anonymized form, they do not contain any personal data.

If you establish contact with us by e-mail or via the contact form, the information you provided there will be stored for the purposes of processing your inquiry as well as for potential follow-up questions.
Supplementary notes
We, Friedr. Serong GmbH & Co. KG may be forced to disclose your data and corresponding information due to a court order or administrative order. Similarly, we reserve the right to use your data for the establishment of or defence of legal claims. In compliance with applicable law, we furthermore reserve the right to event-driven storage and passing-on of personal and other data for the uncovering of and fighting against illegal activities, attempts to defraud, or a violation of the website operator’s terms & conditions of use.
Encryption of data transfers
In any unencrypted communication or e-mail, complete data security cannot be guaranteed; therefore we recommend that you use the postal service for confidential information.
Right of access, erasure and rectification of personal data
If you have any questions that this privacy policy was not able to answer for you or if you would like more detailed information regarding one of the issues, please contact us. If you no longer agree to the storage of your personal data or if the data have become incorrect, we will, upon corresponding instruction by you, effect the rectification, restriction or erasure of your data, within the limits of the statutory provisions. Upon request, you will be provided with information about the personal data we are storing about you. Please be aware that we need a proof of identity in case of requesting access to your data stored with us. Changes to our privacy / data protection policies
We reserve the right to occasionally adjust our privacy policy so that it always complies with the current statutory requirements or to implement changes of our services in the privacy policy, e.g. in case of introduction of new services. For your renewed visit, the new privacy policy shall then apply.
